Aimed at diversifying into new sugar markets and maximising efficiency, the Eswatini Sugar Association invested E110M into a Bagging Facility & Warehouse located at the Ubombo Sugar Mill in Big Bend. This move will see Eswatini diverting bulk raw sugar to world markets and directing it to regional (African) markets by producing direct consumption sugar that can be bagged per specification required by those markets. The new facility, which was officially opened by the Minister of Labour & Social Security Hon. Phila Buthelezi, has additional 50kg and 1Tonne bagging and storage capacity to bag 50Tonnes per hour.
