EU agri-food trade balance remains positive

The total value of EU agri-food trade reached a value of €32.6 billion in March 2022, an increase of 12% compared to March 2021 and of 13% compared with February 2022. In March 2022, EU exports of agricultural products reached €18.9 billion, while imports were valued at €13.7 billion, representing increases of 11% and 16% respectively compared with figures from the previous month. The EU continues to benefit from trade of agricultural products with a trade balance of €5.3 billion. These findings were published today in the European Commission’s latest monthly trade report.
