European Sugar Industries (CEFS) and Unions (EFFAT) call for "mirror clauses" in EU sugar trade

The European Association of Sugar Manufacturers (CEFS) and the European Federation of Food, Agriculture and Tourism Sectors Trade Unions (EFFAT) call for all third country sugar entering the EU market to comply with: all relevant international conventions on labour, social rights and the environment; EU legislation and EU standards of production, mainly on chemicals and plant protection products, nutrients management and water management; and corporate due diligence and corporate accountability.
