The long-awaited rainfall has fallen in all regions of Germany within the past 14 days, although the small-scale distribution was very different. The beets react mostly gratefully to the water supply. While the high sugar content decreases slightly almost everywhere, the beet yields increase disproportionately in relation to the leaf, which continues to stagnate at a low level. This phenomenon is particularly noticeable in the Ochsenfurt region. There, the leaf content in relation to the beet mass is only 17%, a historically low value in the test clearing.
